Kim, Abby, my cousin JC, and I with the eggs we colored |
One thing
I love about the Easter season is the tradition of coloring eggs. I think this
year my mom boiled somewhere around 1 ½ dozen of eggs for us to dye. We usually
dye them the week or two before Easter so they can last for this special
holiday. This year, my sisters and I also got the change to have one of my
cousins come over and help us color them.
When it
comes to coloring eggs, there are so many different ways to go. The very
simplest way is to just drop the egg into the cup of vinegar with the tablet
mixed in already. Although your outcome is only one color, it still comes out
in a beautiful color if you let it sit there for a while. Here’s a tip: the
longer you let them sit, the prettier the color will be.

Even
though coloring Easter eggs is not the main point of the Easter season, it
still is a fun tradition to have for the family. Think of it this way: Now
whenever you want an egg for breakfast, instead of it being completely white,
it’s now going to have a sweet color to it!
